Renewels, Deaths and James Roday. The latest on what I'm watching.

This week has marked the beginning of sweeps month, so there should be lots to blog about in the upcoming days!
For those of you who are not as incredibly addicted to television as I am, this year's February sweeps was pushed to March due to the new digital transition, which in turn was pushed to June for most cities, so was it really necessary? But, that is neither here nor there.
What is important though is that Heroes seems to have been renewed for another season! Yea! Thanks to Twitter and Greg Grunberg we were able to know this without having to sign on to Zap2It.com. So, again, yea! I know a lot of you have lost some love for this show, but I haven't. Even through season two, I loved this show. I don't think I would be able to get through life anymore without my fix of Matt Parkman and Sylar.
And speaking of Heroes, any thoughts from you guys on who Rebel is? There have been some hints in the online world that Rebel is Angela Petrelli, and with what I know about upcoming episodes (there is one coming up that is completely devoted to her, I think in flashbacks) it is possible, but for some reason I think it is HRG. The smirk on his face when Peter flew away last Monday really got me thinking. Who do y'all think it is?
Speaking of online chatter, I did hear a nice little end-of-season spoiler for CSI:NY. It's happened on all the other CSIs and now it is time for NY to take its hit. One of the shows main characters will die in the season finale. I don't like this idea at all. I really like all the characters on that show, and the death apparently will definitely be a main character. If I find out who it is, y'all will be the first to know.
So how many of you out there are watching Friday Night Lights? If you are not - DO SO NOW! This show is in grave danger of cancellation if the ratings do not go up. With this RIDICULOUS Jay Leno bs coming to ruin our 10 pm hour, we have to do all we can to save the shows that deserve to be here.  I'm a little sad about the characters who are leaving though. I understand why, as storyline dictates and who is to say they won't be back - but I miss Smash and I will miss Jason Street. BUT as long as Tim Riggins is in Dylan, I will be too.

Ya know, I feel that I have lost a little life in the past two weeks with the ending of the seasons for Monk and Psych. They will both be back this summer, but at the end of the season finale of Monk, I will admit, I screamed in pain. It seems that after many years and numerous Emmy nominations and wins, Tony Shallub will be hanging up his hand wipes. I'm so sad about this, I can't even express it. I jumped on the Monk bandwagon pretty late, but managed to catch up with every single episode (in order, mind you) very quickly. This is really one of the best shows on tv and it will be sorely missed.
As for Psych, well those of you who watch know there is nothing better on television these days. Other shows may equal it, but nothing will surpass it.  It is the closest thing to putting a Kinky Friedman novel on the small screen as possible. (Still waiting for a big screen version. Now that could get me away from the tv!)  James Roday's Sean and Dule Hill's Gus are the best buddy team ever. I DARE you to watch a few episodes of the show and tell me differently. Just recently, to honor Friday the 13th, the show did a Friday the 13th knock-off episode, but with a twist. The season's best line came when Sean, being held hostage by someone wearing what looked to be a hemp bag on his head with the eyeholes cut out and wielding a cardboard sword, said, "Don't shoot. This isn't Friday the 13th! It's April Fool's Day!" Watch the episode online for even more laughs! (Or Im sure USA will play it next Friday again!)
Finally, I want you all to know that I am really looking forward to Harpers Island. It is a new show where one character gets killed off each week and I assume we get to guess the murderer. It will take the place of 11th Hour on Thursdays, which is fine with me, because even though I dvr and watch it every week, I don't really like it, and - Sorry Bri - I really can't stand that guy Hood or whatever his name is. I won't be crying into my coffee if that doesn't come back.
Ok, that's it. I'm way behind on my dvr, so I gotta go catch up on most of Thursday night's show, Reaper, the big 2 hour Brothers & Sisters and the season finale (gasp!) of Burn Notice.
