Great Site for Deals!

I wanted to share this website with you all. It is a really cool one. It is called Dailysteals, and they sell one item a day either for shipping or at an extremely discounted price. I ordered a $100 Polaroid i735 digital camera (it's pink!!), that sells for $79.99 before shipping at Amazon, for $44.99 + $4.99 shipping. It arrived less than a week after ordering. It is not refurbished and came in its box with unbroken saran paper, so I know it is brand new. You never can be too careful when shopping on the Internet, but so far so good with this site! I'll let you know if it stays good once my credit card bill comes!

Renewels, Deaths and James Roday. The latest on what I'm watching.

This week has marked the beginning of sweeps month, so there should be lots to blog about in the upcoming days!
For those of you who are not as incredibly addicted to television as I am, this year's February sweeps was pushed to March due to the new digital transition, which in turn was pushed to June for most cities, so was it really necessary? But, that is neither here nor there.
What is important though is that Heroes seems to have been renewed for another season! Yea! Thanks to Twitter and Greg Grunberg we were able to know this without having to sign on to Zap2It.com. So, again, yea! I know a lot of you have lost some love for this show, but I haven't. Even through season two, I loved this show. I don't think I would be able to get through life anymore without my fix of Matt Parkman and Sylar.
And speaking of Heroes, any thoughts from you guys on who Rebel is? There have been some hints in the online world that Rebel is Angela Petrelli, and with what I know about upcoming episodes (there is one coming up that is completely devoted to her, I think in flashbacks) it is possible, but for some reason I think it is HRG. The smirk on his face when Peter flew away last Monday really got me thinking. Who do y'all think it is?
Speaking of online chatter, I did hear a nice little end-of-season spoiler for CSI:NY. It's happened on all the other CSIs and now it is time for NY to take its hit. One of the shows main characters will die in the season finale. I don't like this idea at all. I really like all the characters on that show, and the death apparently will definitely be a main character. If I find out who it is, y'all will be the first to know.
So how many of you out there are watching Friday Night Lights? If you are not - DO SO NOW! This show is in grave danger of cancellation if the ratings do not go up. With this RIDICULOUS Jay Leno bs coming to ruin our 10 pm hour, we have to do all we can to save the shows that deserve to be here.  I'm a little sad about the characters who are leaving though. I understand why, as storyline dictates and who is to say they won't be back - but I miss Smash and I will miss Jason Street. BUT as long as Tim Riggins is in Dylan, I will be too.

Ya know, I feel that I have lost a little life in the past two weeks with the ending of the seasons for Monk and Psych. They will both be back this summer, but at the end of the season finale of Monk, I will admit, I screamed in pain. It seems that after many years and numerous Emmy nominations and wins, Tony Shallub will be hanging up his hand wipes. I'm so sad about this, I can't even express it. I jumped on the Monk bandwagon pretty late, but managed to catch up with every single episode (in order, mind you) very quickly. This is really one of the best shows on tv and it will be sorely missed.
As for Psych, well those of you who watch know there is nothing better on television these days. Other shows may equal it, but nothing will surpass it.  It is the closest thing to putting a Kinky Friedman novel on the small screen as possible. (Still waiting for a big screen version. Now that could get me away from the tv!)  James Roday's Sean and Dule Hill's Gus are the best buddy team ever. I DARE you to watch a few episodes of the show and tell me differently. Just recently, to honor Friday the 13th, the show did a Friday the 13th knock-off episode, but with a twist. The season's best line came when Sean, being held hostage by someone wearing what looked to be a hemp bag on his head with the eyeholes cut out and wielding a cardboard sword, said, "Don't shoot. This isn't Friday the 13th! It's April Fool's Day!" Watch the episode online for even more laughs! (Or Im sure USA will play it next Friday again!)
Finally, I want you all to know that I am really looking forward to Harpers Island. It is a new show where one character gets killed off each week and I assume we get to guess the murderer. It will take the place of 11th Hour on Thursdays, which is fine with me, because even though I dvr and watch it every week, I don't really like it, and - Sorry Bri - I really can't stand that guy Hood or whatever his name is. I won't be crying into my coffee if that doesn't come back.
Ok, that's it. I'm way behind on my dvr, so I gotta go catch up on most of Thursday night's show, Reaper, the big 2 hour Brothers & Sisters and the season finale (gasp!) of Burn Notice.

Cool site

I found a website that I really enjoyed and thought I would share it with you all. Going through it, I was taken back to those younger years with Lena. I'm pretty sure the two of us had mastered most of these before the end of junior high.
So this blog's for you Lena!!

My sister - Was she natured or nurtured??

As most of you know, I have a 17-year-old sister. Said sister has just insulted the act of blogging (as if I am too old or something!!) so as my form of revenge, I am going to blog a bit about Bec. Her name is Rebecca and she can be pretty cool for a kid, although she does have her moments. She is the product of my father and stepmother, and that, combined with our extreme age difference, means that we did not grow up in the same household. This, I think, makes a good case for nature versus nurture. Although she and I are very similar in many ways, our teen years have been quite different from what I gather.
As i am, she is mouthy and obnoxious and sarcastic and a bit jaded, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. She seems to hang out with a good crowd of kids, which I did not always do. I dont believe she skips school (I was a pro by 10th grade), and from what I can tell (and I hope she would share if I am wrong), she has stayed away from drinking and drugs. So why, you ask, is she so ... so ... so, shall we say, cranky? I just don't know. I'm sure she would say it is because her family annoys her, and, truthfully, that is a viable answer.
But this leads me back to the nature versus nurture issue. As I stated, she and I were not raised in the same household, yet I am mouthy, obnoxious, sarcastic and a bit jaded as well. So maybe it comes from our father, you say. Well, the answer there is clearly yes; our father (who art not in heaven, but probably art at the office) is also mouthy, obnoxious, sarcastic and jaded BUT, our father (who art still not dead and for this we are mostly pleased) is a workaholic who spends more time smoking cigars and avoiding his family than at home where bundles of women pick at his wallet amidst nags (well, at least I would, can't really speak for the others). Thus, his nurturing rather sucks, since it's usually followed by "I'm with a client, I'll call you back." Therefore, I posit that both my sister and I are mouthy, obnoxious, sarcastic and jaded due to nature.
Now, I understand that many of you are thinking "what about the mothers? doesn't their nurturing and naturing count?" The answer to that, my friendly followers, is NO. After 33 years of study, I have deemed my father's family's genes to be so strong that they kill out any others and take over a descendent, making them a replica of my father, his father and, I am sure, his father before him.

*** Studies conducted for this blog should not be considered in any way scientific, nor should the splitting of genes be done unsupervised or at home.

My First Blog

Well, we will close this one up now cause I am watching TVLand's High School Reunion, and I can't very well discuss it with you if I haven't finished watching it. So check back later for my take on this show and whatever else that pops up!
